Truth vs lie..

  Telling the truth is something that should always be done, no matter what. Telling a lie is something that can often cause trouble. In many cases, people find reasons to lie, but is it right?

  For example, a young boy and his sister are in a store. His older sister decides to steal a shirt and tells him not to tell their mother. The boy can not decide whether to say something or to keep it to him self. If he says something, his sister may be mad at him, but if he keeps it to him self, his sister will get away with stealing and the boy will be lying to his mother.

  In this situation, what is the best thing to do? Tell the truth. If the young boy tells his mother that his sister stole, his sister can be rightfully punished and can learn not to steal. This is why telling the truth is always the right thing to do.

My Academics

  Durring my high school expirence at early college high school, i have encountered so many struggles. I have struggled with things like math, laziness and teachers. I have done so many great things and have also accomplished so much. As i get older, i know i will acomplish so much more.

   In high school, i have had so many struggles. One of those struggles was taking tests. I am good at memorizing definitions, but i am not very good at applying things. Something else i have struggles with was forgetting. I used to often forget to do my homework. One more thing i struggle with is studying. I used to  not study for tests, but i do study now.

   In high school, i have not had many acomplishments so far, but i have had some. My first accomplishment was making it through freshman year. Many people dropped out durring and after freshman year, and i have also considered dropping out before. Another acomplishment is having good grades. I may not have the best grades, but i have not gotten any Ds or Fs on my report card so far. One more acomplishment is doing my homework. i used to forget to do my homework a lot.

   I have a few aspirations for high school. Something i aspire to do is keep my grades good. I know that as i get into my junior and senior year, my classes will get a lot harder. Another aspiration i have is to stay in early college. Some classes are hard and take a lot of work to keep a good grade. My last aspiration is to work with animals. For anyone who knows me, they know i love animals and i also know so much about animals. I have very much expirence working with animals as well.

   Throughout high school, i have had so many ups and downs. I have had so many struggles and some acomplishments. I have done so much and i know i will do so much more as i get older.

What right do people have to claim things that do not belong to them?

 What right do people have to say that something belongs to them, when it does not belong to them? In my opinion, they have absolutely no right. What is theirs is theirs! There is really no exception.

 No matter if they earn it or inherit it, it is still theirs. It belongs to them. Some people think that they can just steal peoples things. Though they do not own them, they still take them. Some people steal things because they need it. For example, someone who is sick, and desperatly needs medicine. Or a homeless person who realy needs food. Though steeling things are never good, i would do the same thing if i desperatly needed something.

  Sometimes, people take things to a whole new level with the things they steal. People often take peoples lives. This is completely different than steeling something tangable. In my opinion, this is the worst form of "stealing". And that is my opinion on peoples rights to claim things that do not belong to them.

why do some people risk their lives for other people?

  Many everyday people risk their lives for others. Wether they do it every day, like fire fighters and police officers, or if it was a one time situation. Though saving someones life is an amazing thing, some people have different reasons for risking their own life for someone else.

   Some people risk their lives for others because they want to be recognized as a hero.  Risking your life is a selfless act, and wanting to be recognized for it is not a bad thing. Though, some people risk thir lives because they believe in the importance of people.

  Another reason some people risk their lives for others because they would want someone to do the same for them. If I was in need of help, I would want someone to help me, even if they did not know me. Many people save others for this reason alone.

  Some people do not feel the imporatnce to help others. Sometimes, the instinct of survival makes people want to save themselves and not put their own life in danger for someone else. Many people are affraid to die and want to stay safe. And that is why some people do or do not risk their lives for others.

If I could meet anyone......

    If i could meet anyone, i would want to meet Taylor Swift. Taylor swift is so nice and I love so much about her. I would be so excited if i met Taylor.

   One thing i love about tayor swift is her music. Taylor writes her music about things that she has been through. And she writes about things that everyone can relate to, especially teenagers. Taylor Swift is my favorite music artist and i listen to it all the time. I love all of taylors music.

   Another thing i love about taylor swift is her personality. Taylor Swift is actually a nice person and she is so caring. Something else i love is taylors style. Her style is very vintage and that is something that i really like.

   If i met taylor swift, i would want to sing on stage with her. Even though i can not sing, i would still sing along with all of her songs. It would be so fun. And that is why i would want to meet taylor swift.

"The Monkeys Paw" essay

      Not many people get the chance to make three wishes. Many people would just blurt out any random answer and some people would think about it. Well in W.W Jacobs' "The Monkeys Paw", he teaches his readers that they should always be careful what they wish for. To convey this message, he uses foreshadowing. Foreshadowing is when an author forewarns of something that will happen later in the story.

       The story "The Monkeys Paw" has several examples of foreshadowing. One example is when Sergeant Major Morris tells the family about the last man who used the monkeys paw to make a wish. Jacobs says "The first man had his wishes, yes, I don't know what the first two were but the third was for death"(Pg.48). The man's first two wishes must have been so terrible and had such bad consequences that the man could no longer live. This is foreshadowing that when someone in the White family makes a wish, their wish will have bad consequences. This relates to the authors theme because the man who made the wishes must have not though about the consequences that would come with them.

    Another example is when Sergeant Major Morris tries to throw the monkeys paw into the fire, but Mr. White stops him. Jacobs says "Better let it burn" "If you don't want it Morris, give it to me" (Pg. 49). This is hinting that Mr. White does want to make a wish with the monkeys paw. If he did not want to make a wish, he would have just let the paw burn in the fire. If Mr. White wishes, he and his family will have bad consequences. This relates to the theme because Mr. White did not think before saving the monkeys paw.

      One more example of foreshadowing is when Herbert, the Whites' son, says he does not see the 200 pounds that his father just wished for. Jacobs says "Well I don't see the money"(Pg. 49). This is foreshadowing that the son will eventually see the money in some way. As you read further in the story, you realize that he is foreshadowing his own death. This relates to the theme of the story because Herbert does not think about how he could see the money. He does not realize that seeing the money will result in his own death.

   The author, W.W Jacobs, is trying to convey his message that you should be careful what you wish for. Sometimes you wish for something before thinking about it, especially when you are mad. Sometimes you should just let fate decide someone's future. In "The Monkeys Paw", Mr. White did not want anything bad to happen to his family when he made his wishes, but he was warned by Sergeant Major Morris not to make any wishes. My making the wish, Mr. White messed with fate and the consequences of this one wish completely changed his and his family's life.  And that is the theme of "The Monkeys Paw".
